  • Hey, I have a new blog that I've been updating for quite a while.

    My wordpress

I have changed :). Pretty interesting comparing my xanga posts to my new wordpress ones.

I'd like to think that I've gotten a lot better at photography.

Check out my flickr and smugmug to see all of my new pictures.

  • Hey guyz, UT is awesome.

So one day I went to the basement to do laundry. I was just sitting there, trying to pass the time by browsing the web on my laptop, when this guy enters with an electric wheel chair. Weird sight. Not the electric wheel chair, but everything else: surf board shop bumper sticker, his UT football jersey, his overall appearance did not seem right. He went over to the dryers, and opened few in hopes of finding his clothes. He uttered a couple cuss words, and was sitting there in a state of hopelessness. I went over to see what was wrong, opening each dryer in continuous failure. He then told me his story, and he wouldn't let me interrupt him in anyway. He's a senior, a mechanical engineering major. Hes got through all the chem, physics, and calculus classes; all of the hardest courses at UT. He played football in high school. Last semester he went to a party, got wasted and fell down 4 flights of stairs. His whole body is partially paralyzed, now he can barely speak correctly.

Well what lesson do I learn from this? To not party? To not drink? No. It was what he said next.

"We all just have to keep on fighting, no matter what challenges we face, regardless of what obstacles block our path."

He then yelled enthusiastically, "30 more hours! GO HORNS!"

Turns out, his girlfriend picked up his clothes for him.

Yeah... so again, college is ownage.

    More on that later.

  • It's already Tuesday.

Took my last final today, English, which was pretty hard... I really doubt that Mrs. Bagley would fail me :P

How bout some pics? I've really been into black and white photography lately.

    Vivian :D

Choir pop night. Jordan owns at guitar! He's also my new smash buddy. Would have been a really nice shot if she kept her hand still.

Kaili's Senior recital. I tried to be artsy-fartsy, but this pic really has no meaning unless you know that the right shadow is Dr. Brown. I guess a proper title for this pic should be"Teacher and Student."

Not a B/W shot, but it's really nice considering I was on the top row of the auditorium. Nikkor telezoom power! 11x zoom equivelent. Also, I played around with the white balance, I think i used tungsten, it helps quite a bit.

Took this while chilling with the starbucks employees at the B&N on Holcombe, Pretty cool i guess.

Laurence as speed racer! Photoshopped zoom effect, it's a pretty nifty tool :D

  • 6 Days until graduation...

High school is over... but do I feel different? How is today any different than any other birthday, any other May 31st?

Even though I don't feel any sense of transcendence, I know that I'm different, so very very different.

But, a few days ago I received a package in the mail, and on the envelope... there were many drawings of pokemon... haha.

At first I thought, "who is this from? From a camper? What?"

But, then it hit me... it's from myself, 7 long years ago.

    I haven't changed much... haha.

    Dear Self,
When you read this letter you will have graduated from high school. I wrote this letter to remind you about 5th grade at West U.

Your best friends now are Laurence Nguyen, Charlie Crosson, Scott Johnstone, Sam Pollok, Max Kudisch, Sangwoo Park, and Fletcher Wiggen.

The trends this year are scooters, The Sims, slip on shoes, and video games. I now really like Pokemon, legos, beckett and pojo magazines, almost anything related to Gundam and Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and video games. My hobbies now are table tennis, making Gundam models, reading magazines, chess, computers, pokemon cards, and downloading free roms from the internet, hanging out with friends, browsing the internet, and making up video games. Now when I grow up I want to design and make my own video games. Now my favorite music bands are Dave Matthews Band, The Barenaked Ladies, Smash Mouth, and The Beetles. My favorite TV shows now are The Screen Savers, The Simpsons, Extended Play, Pokemon, and Gundam Wing. My favorite restaurant is To Dai because it serves my favorite type of food, Japanese food. Now I have 2 pet dogs Chess and Summer (I hope their still alive when you read this letter).
Now I hope to go to Rice or Stanford for college and get a PH.D. in computer science. Well that kind of wraps it up. I hope I will still like most of these things and still have my old friends and have many new friends.

    P.S. I included some photos.

  • And BAM, it's the last day of school.

Is this really true? Is this really the last time that I will have to wake up to the monotonous endless cycle that is school at Bellaire? YAY! No more of that awful Bellaire bs right?

No more all nighters, No more crappy teachers, no more stress, no more drama, no more waking up and saying to myself "WOW SCHOOL AGAIN? F***!"

Shouldn't I be happy right now? Where's the happiness guys? Wait, am I really thinking this?!?!

    I'm going to miss Bellaire.

I've made friends with so many new people this year, and now it's already time to say good bye.
I'm trying to hold on to these last moments, but the time seems to fall between my fingertips.

    Within the last 12 days:
Okay, so... basically... this is what I've been doing:

    Pokemon -> PROMMMMMMM->AFTER PROM -> AFTER AFTER PROM -> POKEMON -> SWIMMING -> POKEMON -> Super smash bros melee/brawl

  • There are times when you just have to stop... and take a look at where you're at.

The past 2 days were pretty bad for me, just 1 "bad luck" event after another.

Ex. i reach into my bag, and i come out with melted chocolate all over my hand -_-.... ewww. It seems my espresso chocolates that i brought for my AP's came out of the ziplock bag... and melted all over the inside of my backpack.

    haha...

Well, AP's have been going pretty alright, I don't really expect to get any 5's but I'm pretty sure that I passed everyone so far. I just have to study for micro / macro now. Then after that I get my new laptop, and its smooth sailing from there.

Mrs. Tsai has been kinda riding us kinda hard... in my opinion. I mean, I need a 63 to get exempt. I'm pretty sure I have something above that.

    Here's a sleeping cat.

Neko that is always sleeping on my porch or driveway

Among other things... I've been thinking.

Do I really have to try (emphasis on try) to be friends with someone? Shouldn't friends just do stuff together naturally?

Just another reason why I gotta get out of here...

  • Sup?

Well I don't really know... hum...

Table tennis club elections went pretty well, seems like the club will survive............................................. (...).

TAKS week was pretty chill, waking up at 10 everyday was pretty awesome. My favorite schedule is:

-24 / swimming right after school
-Studying for AP's at barnes and noble
    -dinner at home or subway
-more studying at barnes and noble
-optional studying at randalls until 12

Whats with all the studying? Do I want to sit through a repeat of this crap for another year? Do I want pay thousands for information I should have learned? Yeah...

I've been out of the gaming loop for about a year now... I decided to buy The World Ends With You, for the nintendo DS over pokemon. It's a pretty solid game; it has an okay storyline, but the actual gameplay is where it truly shines. It takes skill yo, Micro, what ever you call it. You control 2 characters at 1 time! crazy.

Iron man is an awesome movie, I've been a huge fan of him since the first time i played marvel vs capcom.

Just 2 more weeks. I'll have a week for goodbye's and then off to college!

OKAY, TIME TO HIT THE BOOKS. I really want to go outside to take some pics though :(.

**I did nothing today -____-, I did go to the gym though :P.
